Canadian Parents for French, PEI -

Prince Edward Island Branch (CPF PEI)

On-line Language Assessment Tool

The Department of Modern Languages has a variety of courses designed to suit the abilities of first-year students.

All incoming students intending to take a French course must take the French Placement Test!

This allows us to assess your skill level and place you in the appropriate course. There is no pass or fail, and no need to prepare for it (or to be nervous!). To take the test, please contact the First-Year Advisement Centre in Student Services, in the W. A. Murphy Student Centre. During the summer months, the test is available online.

Shortly after completion of the Placement Test, you will be contacted by the Department of Modern Languages and notified of the appropriate course in which to enroll.

For further information, contact the Department of Modern Languages at (902) 566-0480 or at jay@upei.ca.
